Tiji festival is the greatest festival in Mustang region that lasts for three days and centered around a myth regarding Dorje Dojo – a deity who defeated his demon father and saved Mustang. As such, this festival is celebrated with utmost grandeur in front of the King’s palace. The Tiji festival takes place from 12th – 14th May 2018 in Upper Mustang.

We start off our journey by driving to Pokhara. From there it’s another short drive to Nayapul from where we will trek to Tikhedhunga and then to Ghorepani (2,855m).
